Q.My Figs Are Stunted, The Leaves Are Huge. Should I Cut The Leaves Off Above The Fruit So The Energy Goes Into The Figs Rather Than
the leaves The fig buds arrived late, and they are 1/3rd the size of an edible fig. Unless i take action I think they will stay very small whilst the leaves get ever larger. Pending a soil test, you may find that there is not enough phosphorus and potassium, or too much nitrogen. This can be corrected by adding phosphorus and potassium. Otherwise, unless you are certain that it is a cultivar that is self fertile, it may need pollination.
