Q.My English Boxwoods

Zone Barboursville, WV. 25504 | lcreme2093 added on May 22, 2018 | Answered

Yes, I have noticed that my Boxwoods have Blight and that some fungi on them. I have seen the decline of them and I am so worried about them. I have called Tru-Green to come and feed them and tread them for a disease. Do you feel that they can handle such a problem as this on my English Boxwoods? I have sprayed them with water as The American Society said to do for the fungi and got all of that off and watered them well. Is there anything else that you could recommend for me to do asap awhile it is spring?? Sincerely, Lorena Cremeans

I would not recommend spraying water, as this is likely the cause of the infection spreading in the first place. It would be best to use, either, a copper fungicide, or wettable sulfur. These will get rid of the infection.
