potted begonia and impatiens

Question

My deck has full sun most of the day. I put a potted begonia plant on a table and it seems intolerant of the sun because it slowly died. What potted plant will thrive in full sun?

Also, my impatiens are hanging on a porch that gets lots of shade but the leaves are turning yellow and flowers falling off.

These plants enjoy lots of sun and look pretty on the porch, to boot: marigolds, zinnias, daisies, petunias, gerberas, salvias.
