Q.My Crepe Mrytles Have Buds on Them
It’s late March. Should budding crepe mrytles be pruned? I live in Raleigh, NC and am not sure if I should prune budding crepe mrytles.

If the tree is already budding, I would hold off on pruning right now; otherwise, you will lose this season's blooms. If it's just starting to leaf out, then you can do it now, but you need to do so very soon to avoid losing blossoms this season.
