I am unable to determine if it will be able to recover. I will need some more information. Were these cut to the ground, or just cut back some? They can survive some pruning, but cutting back all of the way will likely kill them.

Please include a photo, or describe the amount of plant cut off, and I will be more than glad to help.

In the meantime, this article will give you more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/camellia/pruning-camellias-how-to-prune-a-camellia-plant.htm
