Q.My cat has scratched my little cherry tree
The tree trunk is about 3 inches in diameter and the cat has scratched all around it in one spot–basically, as high as she can reach with her claws. The scarring is significant with the bark hanging in shreds. Is there any hope of saving the tree?

A picture would be really helpful here. It can be saved easily as long as there is still some attached bark at least in one area. If it is completely ringed, it can be saved, but it will be a little more difficult.
