Q.My Cactus Is Sick. How Can I Treat It?
Hello, My name is Lorena and recently I bought this cactus (you can see it on the picture I uploaded), I think it’s a Moon Cactus or Gymnocalycium Mihanovichii. When I bought it i noticed it had a small yellow spot on the ball, but I didn’t think it was bad (excuse my ignorance). The thing is, it started growing bigger and multiple spots appeared over time. Now I’m 100% it’s sick, maybe a bacteria, I don’t know. I tried looking for information online, but I just can’t find anything related to this. Can you please tell me what am I dealing with? And how can I treat it? I really don’t want to throw my cactus away, it’s the first one I’ve ever had. I’ll be waiting for a reply or a solution, hopefully. Thank you for the attention, Have a great day!

Unfortunately, the top cactus will likely be lost. The bottom cactus will continue on, however. Likely, this is Hylocereus species. Here is are a few articles that will help:
