Bringing plants inside for the winter is always a big adjustment for plants. It helps to move them into the shade outdoors for two weeks before bringing them inside to help acclimate them to lower light levels. Often they will drop all their leaves, but new ones will regrow.
Since yours are still turning brown, I would check the light levels, the watering, and check for insects (spider mites are hard to see but can do a lot of damage). Also, make sure it is not next to a heating vent.
