My Bird of Paradise flowers but does not last long and dies and looks awful

I cut dead flower off plus curling leaves that look nearly dead. I END UP WITH MANY DEAD STEMS.

This could be a pH issue, or a fungal issue. To correct both, and add a little sulfur back into the soil I would recommend dolomitic lime and wettable sulfur.
