My Beautyberry Grows From The Ground Every Year. Why

I planted multiple beautyberry bushes several years ago. Every year, the bush restarts growing from the ground. None of the existing branches are putting out any stems/leaves. I don’t understand why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

You are in USDA 6, and the shrub is only fully hardy down to Zone 7.

Unfortunately, unless you grow it in container and bring it in during the coldest parts of the year, this is what you will expect each year.
