Q.My amaryllis bulb hasn’t flowered, ever. It’s been 5 years!

I’ve had a Butterfly Amaryllis bulb since 2013 and I have never seen a flower on it! The bulb did multiply once, leaving me with 2 attached bulbs (I plan to divide them this winter). I live in north Florida and have been bringing the pot in during those few days we do get below freezing. Other than that the pot is in a bright spot on my porch where it gets indirect, bright light. The leaves have never dropped off or faded away, so I realize it hasn’t had a dormant period. What should I do?
