Q.Mulch

I have seen red mulch at a neighbor’s home that is NOT lava rock. It’s not shredded bark that is dyed red. It is small rocks, that are more or less rectangular. The rocks are a little bigger in size than, say, home fries. I have not seen this for sale anywhere. Would you be able to identify it, please?

Thank you!

My best guess is that your neighbor is mulching with brick chips. Does it look anything like this? https://generalshale.com/products/utility-brick/brick-chips/#sizes
