Moss Type Plant Taking Over Watering System

Question

We have a moss type plant that is growing around underground waterring system. It is hard as concrete and growing down the sprinkler head, very hard to remove. How can we get rid of it?

try keeping the water flowing so moss wont grow or use hot water to kill moss
