Q.Money tree

Zone Fort Myers, Florida | alicecturner added on February 20, 2016 | Answered

My son bought me a money tree about a week ago. I read about how to water it. He just left and I noticed the soil is very wet. Will that permanently damage it? I live in southern Florida. Can I put it in the partial shade outside, or will it do better in the house? Either is fine with me.
Thank you.
Alice

Your new plant needs a full sun to partial sun location.
Make sure the pot has adequate drainage holes for the excess water to drain from the soil.
As long as the roots do not sit in soggy soil and the soil drains and dries, the plant should be just fine.
