Q.Miracle Grow and Seeds
We just started using the Miracle Grow and Jiffy seed starting mix and I am not understanding why when I add water to it, the water will not soak in. The water will sit on it or run off the side and out the bottom. Any idea what would cause this to do that?

The ingredients in potting mix retain water great if they stay damp, but yes, when they dry out completely they do repel water. You simply need to soak the container in water for an hour or so to force the mix to take water in again.

Also using warm water will help it soak in better.
