Milkweed &using Landscape Fabric

Should a milkweed plant have landscape fabric and mulch around the base of the plant?

If it's a perennial milkweed you want it to spread, so skip the landscape fabric and only use mulch.

If you are planting a tropical species of milkweed, it won't spread too much and you can use landscape fabric if you desire.
