Q.Mildew in Container Garden

Anonymous added on May 2, 2011 | Answered

I noticed a black mildew-looking substance on my very first pepper and on its leaves. What should I do to get rid of it and prevent it from getting on the rest of my container garden plants?

It is likely sooty mold, which is an indicator of a pest infestation. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/how-to-get-rid-of-sooty-mold.htm

I like neem oil for treating both issues. This artilce will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm
