Q.Meyer Lemon Tree with pale yellow dropping leaves

Zone Phoenix Az zine 9-10 | surpriseme added on June 9, 2015 | Answered

Wanted to ask for some advice on my 4 year old Meyer lemon tree. I hope you can help save my little tree that I have here in Surprise, Az zone 9-10. I have attached a pic. I used homemade organic compost last March and reapplied Moon Valley organic moon dust a couple weeks ago and deep water once a week. It was doing well until a couple weeks ago. The leaves were pale yellow and now have started to drop. Any suggestions please? I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

This could be for a few reasons.
Excessive heat can be a cause.
Watering also, once a week watering may not be enough with rising temps.
Make sure your pulling back the rocks to check to see if the soil is dry.
Inspect for insects and treat if need be.
