Q.May I Prune My Saguaros?
Hello!!! I have 3 saguaros in my backyard in Peoria, Az. They are about 13 and a half feet tall and 2 have started to grow limbs! I think some are too close together and/or I would rather remove a couple of them while they are small. May I use a pole saw to carefully remove small limbs? I want saguaros to live long and prosper and i want what is best for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Will everything be ok if I do this? In old Sun City on the way to Fry’s gocery store there are 3 big saguaros alongside a house with so many limbs I was so surprised when I first noticed it! Any info i would greatly appreciated!

It is best not to prune Saguaros because it opens them up to infection. Here is more on their care:
