I’m looking for a 15 to 20 ft tree with red leaves that would be safe to grow in zone 4 Decorah Iowa

The only one that I know of that has a likelihood of surviving your area that has red leaves would be 'Emporer 1'. Even then, you will still need to offer as much protection in the winter as you can.
