Q.Lilac bush with berries?

Zone 17112 | roxanne.blesh added on June 19, 2017 | Answered

Hello,
I have a large purple lilac bush that is almost 10 years old. It always produced purple blossoms. Last spring the bush did not grow in well and barely had any flowers. I trimmed the bush back last summer. This spring it produced a few white blossoms. Now it has red berries on it! Did I do something to it when I pruned the bush? Help!?
