Q.Leylandii hedge too tall

Zone Salisbury | Felicity Fairbrother added on October 3, 2017 | Answered

We have moved house and have inherited a leylandii hedge over 9 feet tall.
It is completely dead inside. Can we cut it down a foot or two? if so when?

You can trim it up if you would like. It is best to do this in summer. Here is an article for more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/leyland-cypress/pruning-leyland-cypress.htm
