Lemon trees

Question

I’ve been growing my lemon tree for several years and its nothing but a tall stick and some leaves on top. It has been like this for years. Its in a large pot so what am I doing wrong or what is it missing?

Pruning is very limited in a citrus tree.
Make sure the tree is getting full sunlight.
