Q.Leggy Calla Lily

Anonymous added on June 22, 2015 | Answered

I was given a beautiful yellow calla lily (container) for Mother’s Day. It gets 5-6 hours of sunlight daily, and the rest of the day in partial shade. It bloomed well for a few weeks, but is now becoming leggy and droopy. The blooms develop but won’t open. I haven’t fertilized it and I water it when it every few days. Can you help, please?

A sunnier location will make a difference. If a plant doesn’t get enough of its required light then it develops weak, elongated stem (legginess) that tend to flop over.
