Q.leaf curl and deformed blooms in rose plants
Sir,
I’m uploading the photographs of few of my rose bushes. I’m unable to find out the cause for leaf curl and deformity in buds.
I water the plants thoroughly daily in the evening at around 6 p.m when the temperature would be 38 degrees celcius ( approx ). I tried watering once in the morning and once in the evening (i.e. twice daily ) but the plants remained damp. So i started watering only once a day ( in the evening only ) when the soil is completely dry.
I have planted these in the ground.
We tried spraying a small amount of neem oil which din’t work.

Hello and thank you for sending your question to us here at Gardening Know How. It sounds like you are have problems with Sawflies. You will need to obtain an insecticide that lists them as a controlled insect. They will sting the leaves to make them curl up to protect the larvae that hatches out of the eggs they lay. Here is a link to an article about them for you as well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/sawfly-insect-control.htm
