Q.Lawn and Ants!

Zone 08757 | precisionbrown added on April 8, 2018 | Answered

This past summer my lawn looked ridiculous. Ant hills all over my corner lot.
I tried granulated Ant killer. I just used a whole bag of insect killer (including ants) and I have sandy soil. My garden has beautiful soil and they started infiltrating it.
I’m having enough problems with deer and rabbits but Ants??
I’m afraid of them entering my house.

This can be a difficult situation. You can try diotomacious earth, if you have not already. Pepper extract mixed in water can deter them some too, without harming your lawn. Sometimes boiling water can destroy large colonies, but it will not prevent them from coming back.
