Q.Large Jade Tree Branch That Finally Snapped Wondering The Best Way To Start New Plants From It

Zone 78410 | Kara0429 added on October 16, 2020 | Answered

I have an awesome jade plant that lives mostly outdoors I’m in south Texas. One of the larger shoots finally snapped. I read the propagation tips for jade plants on this site and just wanted to make sure I can apply them the same.. the shoot is probably 5 foot if not more and most of my leaves are 6-8 inches long… I was thinking cut the smaller top off to plant and then the leaves for the other way to plant (lay on the soil)? First photo is what fell off second photo is what’s left so obviously I have plenty of new growth! I absolutely love this plant!

This can be done quite easily, but it is a little different of a process. These articles will help you to start these cuttings:
