Q.Kiwi Pollination
I grow Hayward kiwi fruit in my backyard, 3 female 2 male vines (I also have avocado trees). I prune yearly (apricot orchard trained) and pollinate by hand because the local bee hives have gone away. For three or four years, I got a good crop, but for the past two years I got a reasonable amount of female blossoms and only a few male – last year none, this year only two. For next year’s crop, how can I induce the male plants to produce more blossoms?

I would provide them with a bit of phosphorus rich fertilizer to encourage blooming.
