my kiwi plant, mature female plant 10 year old, did not come back in spring all of a sudden. the branches are dry. i cannot see any obvious reasons… what could it be? Is it dead? have I lost it? should I cut it down completely and see? Please help! I love the plant!

I'm not sure of your growing zone, but it may have had cold damage.
Try pruning back the plant to see if the roots survived and can start to grow back.
Sometimes the reason a plant dies can't be explained.
Try to look at as an opportunity, sometimes that helps me!
