Q.Keeping Tomatoes Green

Anonymous added on August 12, 2013 | Answered

I have a large tomato, two and a half pounds. I want to put it in a county fair. I just cut it off the vine today; it’s still green but looked like it was about to start to ripen. The fair is on Labor Day. Any ideas on how keep the tomato in good shape till then? I have it wrapped in newspaper and put in the fridge.

That may be enough, provided there's no fruit in the fridge that would make it ripen quicker (like apples). This article may have some tips as well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/tomato/slow-down-tomato-ripening.htm
