Keeping the orchid flower as decoration in a base full of water.

Question

I want to keep the orchid flowers in a water base. Do I need to put something else in the water? This is just the flowers, not the whole plant. Thank you.

Floral Preservative is very beneficial to add to the water. It is available at most garden centers or even a local floral shop will have it available.
