Q.Jasmine insect pest and treatment advice

Zone London | James5hay added on June 18, 2018 | Answered

Hi, I just bought a beautiful jasmine plant but, as per the photos, I suddenly have an infestation of what look like mites. Please could anyone tell me how I can treat my plant for this – it’s an indoor plant. Thank you!

I believe that the insect pest on your jasmine plant is 'aphids', not mites. They are easy to control with common garden insecticides available at garden centers and online. Follow directions on the pesticide label.
Insecticidal soap and pyrethrum products are organic program compatible because they biodegrade for minimal environmental impact. Neem oil is good for prevention and early intervention, but not as good for getting immediate control of a heavy active infestation.
