Q.Jalapeno wilting at sun
I have just moved my jalapeno in final pot of 11 inch. But after the repotting when I expose them to the sun, they wilt 🙁 and very fast. When I move them to the light but not in direct sun, they recover.
Please tell me if you know why, because from my knowledge they need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Maybe it is because they have very small buds, so they are flowering?
Thanks a lot,
Tudor
Thanks a lot for your answer, I will water as you said. The pots are in the house with no contact whatsoever with outside plants so I hope it's not a disease. But I am watching all possibilities.
It sounds to me like the roots are not getting enough water. Since you just repotted, the roots are occupying the area in the center of the pot, not around the edges. When you water, the outside of the soil mass "sucks up" the water first; before the water moves into the center area. After you water, wait 10 or 15 minutes, then pour water again right into the middle of the pot.
However, wilt can also be a sign of root disease. Just to be on the safe side, check the information in this article so you know what to watch for: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/pepper/pepper-wilt-on-plants.htm
