Q.Jade plant indoors

Zone Minneapolis, MN 55416 | Louise Ribnick added on October 15, 2017 | Answered

My jade plant has gotten “leggy”: long branches with the leaves only towards the ends. How can I promote growth of leaves further down? I want the plant to look thicker, fuller and greener. Thanks.

It will not hurt your plant to trim off some of the leggy portions. They will shoot new sprouts soon after. It sounds like you may need to put the plant in slightly brighter lighting, as it seems to be stretching to find it.
