Q.Jade plant

Zone Cayuga, IN 47928 | sanni added on June 15, 2016 | Answered

I was given a jade plant but I don’t have a window where I get full sun. Can I put it outside in the morning, as our deck has full sun for a few hours in the morning? Also, in the winter I have no place at all where we get much sun. I really need some information on what would be the best way to keep it healthy.

Yes, you can place your Jade plant outdoors to soak up some sunlight.
You can also provide a grow light for your plant when indoors, as they do need a full sun location.

You could also give the Jade plant to someone with the proper light and find a low light plant for your home.

Here is an article all about Jade;

I can tell you from experience that it will grow anywhere. I have a ton of Jade plants that are in spots that only get morning sun or late afternoon sun and both are thriving. I just rotate them when I notice they are leaning excessively.
