Q.ixora plant

Zone Houston, TX zone 9a | pdollens added on June 8, 2018 | Answered

The ixora is a new shrub to me. I want to place this in front of a trellis of star jasmine that goes along my backyard fence. What soil type will I use to be compatible? I live in zone 9a and I am wondering if the izora will freeze? If so, will it come back in the spring? Thanks

They will want an acid loving plant soil. Or if you can amend the existing soil with acidifier, that can work as well. You are right inside of their climate zone, so you should have no trouble with these.
