Q.It\’s the end of summer in Tampa and my Brunfelsia didn\’t bloom
My bush is 3’x3′ in a large pot sun in morning and shade in hot sun afternoon. It’s growing well and had it almost 2 years. Just found out to only fertilize in spring as I did add a flowering fertilizer. Guess I just have to be patient for next summer. It sits among many flowering plants and bushes which are doing well.. Sometimes I have a feeling that I was given the wrong kind of bush even when it is an accredited nursery and that was what I asked for

Depending on the fertilizer that you used, this could be the issue. These will not want a high nitrogen fertilizer, as this can halt blooming. You will want something higher in phosphorus and potassium.
If the fertilizer that you fed was high in nitrogen, then you will be right. It will be a waiting game until next year. Especially if this was a slow release nitrogen.
