Q.Issue With My Ornamental Red Ginger
I’m sending you a couple of pictures of my Red Ginger to see if you might have any suggestions about what could be the problem. The leaves are yellowing all around the edges. I’m not sure if it’s not getting enough water, too much water, possibly a pest problem or if it needs a special fertilizer. I figure since Hawaii nurseries sell this type of plant you might have come across this issue with the gingers you sell. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you and Happy Holidays! I believe that I can help you with your issue, but I must clarify that we do NOT sell plants. We only offer information on them.
This does appear to be an issue with soil saturation. Judging by the portion of fence touching the soil, this soil appears to stay saturated for long periods of time.
If you can keep this from happening, this would be ideal. If you cannot, then you may consider moving the plant. Otherwise, you can try wettable sulfur to kill off the infection.
