Is This A Weed In My Lawn?

I took some pictures of what looks like grass growing in my lawn buts it’s growing fast and high. The grass in my lawn otherwise is dead. Does this look like a weed?

This appears to be Poa annua, though it can be incredibly difficult to distinguish between grass species without being able to see all parts of the grass, clearly. You may want to take samples to your local extension service, and they can help, further.
