Q.Iris Rhizome Storage

Anonymous added on February 9, 2014 | Answered

I have some iris I need to relocate, but I may need to store or hold them for a few weeks in between pulling them up and replanting them. Can I just divide them, stick them in a big pot with some soil and water them a bit, or any better suggestions?

Yes, you can do this or simply store the rhizomes in some saw dust or peat moss and place in a cool, dry location until you're ready to replant.
