Q.Iris

Zone 75024 | Brynn03 added on April 1, 2017 | Answered

Something is chewing through the stalks of my iris slightly below each bloom. Last year they chewed every single bloom off. I live in Dallas. We have a pool so rats are around. Our backyard is rabbit proof. No visible insects on plant. Thank you.

Rats most certainly can do the damage shown, along with other rodents or animals.
