Q.indoor gardenia pests

Zone Burlington, WA 98233 | donpower added on November 13, 2016 | Answered

My indoor gardenia is 7 years old. It has had many blooms over the years but this year for the last 4 months tiny black spots have appeared on the unbloomed blooms causing some to fall off! Someone told me to spray with soapy water. It didn’t work, but the leaves were shiny! The leaves are fine just the unbloomed blooms! Please help!

Gardenia plants can be finicky! The spots and bud drop could be from Mites; but it also can be environmental issues or watering problems. I would treat the plant with Neem Oil.

Neem Oil is safe for people and pets.
