Q.In Ground Coleus In Connecticut
Hi just starting out with gardening and have a two beautiful coleus that I planted in my front yard, but now I’m worried because I can’t take anything indoors because I have multiple pets. It’s here in Connecticut so you know the north east get some brutal winters, I just need to know what I should do with them before the frost comes should I cut them back like you do a regular hosta?

Coleus won't survive outdoors during the winter. To keep them, most people take a cutting and propagate it indoors for the winter. Do you have a room where you can shut the door to prevent cats from nibbling? Or, do you have a spot in the garage that doesn't get below 40 degrees?
