Q.I’m Interested In Replacing A Clematis With Wisteria. Do The Flowers Shed A lot?
My arbor is built close to a swimming pool and want to know if the flowers will be falling into the pool?

Wisteria need plenty of room and they require pruning twice a year. That may be too much of a commitment so close to a pool. And I would be worried, too, about racemes dropping into the pool. The native vine is not quite as aggressive as the European varieties, but it, too, needs to be pruned at least twice a year to keep its growth in check.
