I’m having my yard treated for grub worms and I need to know whether or not I need to pull all of the old brown, dead grass out before they treat it.

No, you do not need to pull out the dead grass. For more information on grub worm treatment, this article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/lawn-grubs-how-to-get-rid-of-grub-worms.htm
