Q.iguana control

Anonymous added on December 10, 2014 | Answered

I read everything on your site with regard to iguana control. I live in the Florida Keys, overrun with iguanas. Will a 2 ft. high “credit card” thick plastic fence work to keep iguanas out? Will plastic work as well as sheet metal? Will iguanas dig to get under such a fence? If so, what is the best way to deal with this? Do any liquid iguana repellents really work?

Plastic will work. Really, anything that creates a barrier will work. Iguanas will dig. With digging animals, the solution is to dig a trench around the garden and bury the barrier you will be using down at least 6" down. This will stop them if they try to dig below.
