Q.how do you prune yucca without killing the plant
Someone asked me as a gardener about a yucca plant she has at home. She showed me photo of the plant. It is tall but no growth on the trunk, only on the top. If a yucca plant has no leaf growth on the trunk but growth at the top, how do you prune it without killing the plant? Thanks.

If it only has a single trunk, then pruning would not be recommended. It may just be that the plant has outgrown the space. Yucca are really no different than shrubs in that, even if you can prune, sometimes they just get to big for a space and there comes a time to replace them if you want to maintain the look of that space.
