Q.Identify Bushes?

Zone 8b | Anonymous added on August 19, 2013 | Answered

I have 3 bushes in my landscaping and I don’t know what they are. They are very woody with small green leaves and small red flowers that grow on long stems around the outside of the bushes. They attract bees/butterflies/hummingbirds very well. I am in central Texas and they seem to tolerate drought pretty well except they do get woodier with less leaves on the inside of the bushes. Any guesses as to what they are? Thanks.

I would suggest taking samples to either your local nursery or agricultural extension office for identification.
