wth is bleach white as it has been in a dark box. Is this okay?

It should continue to grow and green up. Get it into sunny light situation and begin watering. When the flower blooms you can move it into indirect light so the blooms last longer.

I received a gift last year that was like yours. It did just fine and bloomed.
