Like other annual salvias, it should bloom all summer. Water when the soil begins to dry on top. You can use a slow release fertilizer that will fertilize when you water. Those can last about three months. If it's in a container, reapply after two months.
If you have the Jack's water soluble plant food, follow the instructions on the container as to how often to feed with it.
